Guides

Our trekking and mountaineering guides are familiar with the circuits and climbing routes, know the ideal hiking trails of each circuit, the local history, the most interesting places, etc. The Cordilleras have so many enchanting and unspoiled regions to offer, our guides show you the hidden natural treasures away from the much visited attractions. Most of them speak more than two languages. Our Mountain Guides are members of UIAGM / IFMGA with great experience leading groups in the Andes.

Transportation

You travel in a comfortable first class bus from Lima to Huaraz and vice versa. From Huaraz to the start and return points of the circuit or to the access point s of climbing tours, small groups of four to twelve passengers travel in small minibus. Luggage, trekking and mountaineering equipment during the trips are loaded on pack animals (donkeys, horses or mules) in special containers like boxes, waterproof racks, etc.

Accommodation

As well in Lima as in Huaraz all our tours include a good middle class hotel, for the other nights in trekking and/or climbing tours we supply one tent per two persons with two mattresses per tent.

Meals on the campground

The Mountain Cooks are perfectly able to do the kitchen, the meals are prepared according trekking and/or mountaineering diet. They also appreciate your suggestions for new dishes. You will be amazed what a variety of delights can be prepared by them, healthy, balanced and abundant. Special dietary requirements for vegetarian can be accommodated with previously alert, you must to tell about it when you book your trip.

Group equipment

We provide Cooking and eating utensils; kitchen, dining, bathroom tents, camping tables, chairs, etc; all them in perfect conditions. Equipment is provided for all the activities that we carry out trekking, climbing or courses.
You can bring your own sleeping bag or rent one for about USD 4 per night once you are in Huaraz. Just ask your guide. Our mattresses are adequate but if you like it extra comfortable, by all means bring your Thermarest mattress.
Regarding the climbing tours you must to bring almost all climbing equipment. Equipment we provide are minimal. See equipment list.

Logistcal supply

If you have a group or you want to organize a climbing or trekking tour by your own, we can arrange for you transport, camping and mountaineering equipment ; the services of Cooks, Porters, Arrieros (Donkey drivers), Camp guards and hire pack animals (dokeys, horses, llamas) for people who want to travel independently, all our services are of good quality.
